February 2008 Reekie Linn

the weather was unusual for this time of year so i decided to take adnatage of it.

The route Alyth to Loch of lintrathen Via reekie linn.

Starting from Alyth head northwest on the b952. turn left at "the Brae" you should now see markings for the " Catern Trail" keep to the well marked signs heading north until you join the b954 at "bogside". Follow the road Northward, ignoring the markings for the "Catern Trail " stay on the b954 until you come to the picnic area for reekie linn.
I stopped and had lnuch here a fine wee picnic stop.
head east along the Path ,( beware of corrosion on this path) until the waterfall " reekie linn comes into view.

More information on reekie linn is at the address below

I took a shortcut to "Peel Farm" I stuck to the edge of fields hooking around to the farm.
A great wee stop In peel farm for scones and tea.

Then headed across the road to Loch of lintrathen.

was a great wee walk simply follow the route in reverse to get back.

downside a lot of road to walk on.
