GLENCOE CAMP 2008
I decided to take cameron camping. One night in Glencoe and the other In Tyndrum.
We arrived by bus at the crossroads near the village, not a cloud in the Sky warm sunny day. we could not have had it better.
Was a long 1.5 miles to The red squirrel camp site especially with my laiden up backpack and damn hernia.
The camp site was basic , it allowed us to have a camp fire and most of the pics seen here on the site is from our tent door, views were fantastic. cameron loved palying by the river and helping build the fire. i bet it is safe to say he will be back.
was a hard night for cameron as he was not used to camping so we did not ahve much sleep.
The next morning we headed down to the village for the bus into Tyndrum.
on arriving in Tyndrum the weather was changing so i decided because cameron and i ahd a rough night the previous night that we would book into one of the cabins in "by the way camp site andf hostel".
Jim and Jean that run the site are real nice people that go out their way to help. when we arrived there was only a handful of us but by t-time there were near a hundred. most of them were doing the west highland way.
we had a fantastic sleep in the cabins and next day we headed home!
( dad when are we going back)? , Cameron
