Glen Tanar to Glen Esk Via Mount Keen
The weather was Ideal athough a bit sticky going through the woods then a bitting wind at the summit of mount keen.
We got dropped off at the Car park at glen Tanar then simply followed the paths All the way. There was not much of a challenge as far as orienteering goes but that was soon made up with the stiff walk up the Steep Final face of Mount Keen. There is a boulder field at the top, I rememer thinking I would not like to be scouring accross these rocks on a wet day. We paused in the half way hut and then we had lunch on the Summit. a number of peope remarked on how fit I was. I was walking way out front and i must admit i was on good form. It was good day but don't think I would be in a hurry to do this hill again. the walk down to Glen Esk was quite pleasant when the wind dropped. the total we walked was 14.4 miles. In about 7 hours.
