Loch lednock to Killin Through walk 18th oct 2009

This walk was orignally being done in reverse. A large group of us decided on taking the advantage of doing another munro ( Ben Chonzie) Instead of the through walk and finishing at Comrie

We started off at Invergeldie in Glen Lednock, following the track upwards, North and then Northeast. The track stops at the shoulder of one of the tops. we then continued Northeast untill we met the fence, then turned northwest and followed the fence simply fllowing the fence it turned Northeast leading to the Summit.

The weather was Bleak the hilltops covered in thick mist but was mild for the time of year. I FORGOT to take a photo of the cairn but being honest even if i did it could have been any hill, visibility was only about a hundred yards if that.

We then retraced our steps back along the fence line. Brian and I decided on coming down a bit earlier than the others. there was a LARGE ARROW made of boulders lying on the ground by the fence pointing the way back down to Invergeldie . None of us wanted to go back that way as it would have meant a long walk by road back to comrie. We continued past the ARROW keeping to the fence now running to the Southeast Until we hit "Meall na seide" a small top. Brian and I continued until we hit the 668 top. i took a bearing of the track that lay southwest and waved goodbye to the rest of the walkers.

The rest of the walkers continued to do the corbett and a dogleg then dropped down to Comrie.

My Bearing was bang on, we met the start of the track and then follwed it all the way down. On the way down we seen two Eagles and a Red Kite. was impressive it was the first time i have seen an eagle or a red kite in all the years i have been walking. This was confirmed by the other group who also seen them.
The descent was alll track a bit rocky until you get to the farm Carroglen then it is HARD SURFACE ALL THE WAY TO COMRIE, My feet were killing me as was Brian's.

We arrived at comrie at 4:05pm ,We met up with the other walkers who wandered in about 40 minutes later.Nice Pint of pear Cider and a bag of chips then bus home.Over all a Good day nice scenery pity about the cloud cover on top
Total Distance 12.3 Miles 6 Hours.
