Route: St Mary’s Loch Sept 2006
Start of at Kirkhouse, then follow the yellow markers of the Southern upland way all the way down to Tibbie Shiels inn at the end of St Mary’s Loch
Some went onto Ettrick a further 5.5 Miles
I felt a lot better this meet infact I was out front and well ahead of the main group, UNTIL….. a few of us missed one of the sign posts on a bridge (at Criaghope) and we ended up 2 kilos down the wrong glen, when I say we I feel it was my fault for chattering as usual and I apologise to my companions.
The walk was a hard Low level walk one of the hardest low level walks I have done it was unkind to the feet as it entailed a lot of hard ground.
Never the less the weather was excellent and I did manage to the end of the walk smiling as usual.
